BNP High-Level Delegation Set to Visit China at the Invitation of the Chinese Communist Party

PNN Political Desk | June 21, 2025: A high-level delegation of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), led by Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, is scheduled to visit China on Sunday, June 22, at the invitation of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

In preparation for the visit, members of the BNP delegation attended a meeting at the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka on Thursday (June 19), at the invitation of Liu Yuyin, the Acting Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh.

The BNP delegation includes prominent figures such as Standing Committee members Mirza Abbas, Goyeshwar Chandra Roy, and Selima Rahman, along with Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain, Advisers to the Chairperson Zahir Uddin Swapan and Ismail Jabiullah, Professor Dr. Sukomal Barua, and Media Cell Convener Maudud Ahmed Pavel.

This visit is expected to strengthen political ties between China and Bangladesh, and marks a significant moment in BNP’s diplomatic engagement in the region. Both sides are anticipated to discuss matters of mutual interest, including political cooperation, development initiatives, and bilateral relations.
