BNP delegation leaves Dhaka on invitation from China

A delegation of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has left Dhaka for China on Wednesday night at the invitation of the Chinese government. The information was confirmed in a statement published on the party’s social media.

It is known that the delegation departed around 10:45 PM on a China Northern Airlines flight from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

The delegation is led by Ismail Zabiullah, member of BNP Chairperson’s advisory council. Several senior leaders and important figures of the party are also included.

Members of the delegation include Altaf Hossain Chowdhury, Nazmul Haque Nannu, Mohammad Shamsuzzaman, SM Asaduzzaman Ripon, Baby Naznin, Khairul Kabir Khokon, Habibur Nabi Khan Sohel, Ashraf Uddin Ahmed Ujjal, and others.

Party sources said discussions may take place during this visit regarding strengthening political and mutual relations between the two countries.

Meanwhile, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir is scheduled to leave for Beijing on April 19. His visit has drawn political attention.

Observers believe this visit could play an important role in expanding BNP’s international engagement.
