BNP Announces Candidates for Two Constituencies in Kishoreganj

BNP has finalized candidates for Kishoreganj-1 (Sadar–Hossainpur) and Kishoreganj-5 (Bajitpur–Nikli). Mohammad Mazharul Islam, general secretary of Kishoreganj district BNP, was nominated for Kishoreganj-1. Sheikh Mojibur Rahman, president of Bajitpur Upazila BNP and central committee member, was nominated for Kishoreganj-5.

Multiple nomination aspirants and their supporters expressed dissatisfaction with the selection. Supporters of the winning nominees held rallies and celebrations after the announcements.

Kishoreganj-1 has historically been a BNP seat in 1991 but has been largely held by the Awami League since then. The nominations carry significant importance for BNP-led 12-party alliance politics in the region.
