Beheaded Body of Unknown Youth Found in Maize Field in Homna, Cumilla

Police have recovered the beheaded body of an unidentified young man from a maize field in Homna Upazila of Cumilla. At around 9 am on Friday (12 December), locals spotted the body in a field near Kararkandi and informed the police.

Led by Officer-in-Charge Morshedul Alam Chowdhury, police arrived at the spot and recovered the body.

The OC said that upon receiving the information, they found the body of a young man lying inside the maize field, with his throat slit. Police have prepared a preliminary report and are preparing to take the body to the station.

He added, “So far, no one has identified the deceased. We are speaking to locals to determine if anyone recognizes him. Once his identity is confirmed, the motive and those involved can be determined.”

Crowds of locals gathered at the scene, yet no clue regarding the motive has been found. Police are investigating leads from nearby areas.
