6-year-old child killed in head-on collision between CNG and private car in Siddhirganj, 7 injured

A six-year-old girl named Sinthia Rahman Humaira died in a tragic road accident involving a CNG auto-rickshaw and a private car in Siddhirganj, Narayanganj. At least seven others, including her parents, were injured.

The incident took place on Friday night at Jalkuri underpass area of Dhaka-Narayanganj Link Road.

The deceased Humaira was the daughter of Md. Ashikur Rahman Shamim from Banglabazar area of Munshiganj Sadar upazila.

Police and locals said a CNG was heading toward Dhaka when a speeding private car coming from the same direction hit it from behind with force. The impact severely damaged the vehicle and injured all passengers inside.

Locals rushed to rescue the injured child, but she died before reaching the hospital. Her parents and other passengers were also injured and are undergoing treatment at different hospitals.

Police said the private car has been seized, but the driver fled the scene. Efforts are underway to identify and arrest him.

Locals have demanded stricter control of reckless driving to prevent such accidents.
