Staff Reporter | PNN:
After losing the first match, every game now feels like a final for Bangladesh. Another defeat in the upcoming match could see Bangladesh setting a record for losing a series to Afghanistan.

The team faced heavy criticism for their performance in the first match. Slow batting and disorganized bowling ensured the loss. As a result, multiple changes are expected in the squad for the second match.

The opening pair will rely on Saif Hassan and Tamim Iqbal (Tanzid Hasan Tamim) after their failure in the first game. Najmul Hossain Shanto, who scored only 2 runs in the first match, will bat at number three today. The middle order remains largely the same, but Tauhid Hridoy, Mehedi Hasan Miraz, Zaker Ali, and Nurul Hasan Sohan are likely to get opportunities in the playing XI.

Captain Mehedi Hasan Miraz admitted that playing with only three pacers in the first match was a mistake. That error is unlikely to be repeated today. Rishad Hossain will return to the XI alongside Tanvir Islam. Among the pacers, Mustafizur Rahman and possibly Taskin Ahmed will play to support spin bowlers in handling wickets.

Probable Bangladesh Playing XI:
Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Saif Hassan, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Mehedi Hasan Miraz (Captain), Tauhid Hridoy, Zaker Ali, Nurul Hasan, Tanvir Islam, Rishad Hossain, Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman.

For Bangladesh, the second match is seen not just as a chance to win, but as the only opportunity to save the series.
