Arsenal are now just one step away from winning the English Premier League title. After securing a crucial victory against Burnley, Mikel Arteta’s team has strengthened its control over the title race.

On Monday night at the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal defeated Burnley 1–0. The only goal of the match was scored by Kai Havertz.

Nine minutes before the end of the first half, Havertz found the net with a brilliant header from a corner kick. No further goals were scored, and Arsenal secured victory with that single goal.

With this win, Arsenal have 82 points from 37 matches. Manchester City, who have played one match less, have 77 points.

The title race now depends on Manchester City’s next match. Pep Guardiola’s team will play Bournemouth today. If City drop points in that match, Arsenal could become champions without playing.

In that case, even if City win their remaining matches, their maximum possible points would be 81, which is still one less than Arsenal’s current total. However, if City win, the title race will go to the final match of the season.
