Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) lawyer Barrister Mahin M Rahman has said that evidence has been found supporting allegations of sexual harassment involving several female cricketers from the Bangladesh women's national cricket team.

However, he said the investigation report would not be made public in order to protect the identities and privacy of the alleged victims.

Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday (November 4), Mahin M Rahman said publishing the report would go against the directives of the High Court.

He explained that the report would remain confidential to ensure that the identities of the victims were not disclosed.

Former women's team selector and manager Manjurul Islam was banned from all cricket-related activities by the BCB after being found guilty in connection with allegations of sexual harassment.

Following the ban, he filed writ petitions before two High Court benches seeking the withdrawal of the suspension.

During the hearings on the writ petitions, the BCB submitted its investigation report to the court.

The board's lawyer said the report contained evidence supporting the allegations of sexual harassment involving female cricketers.

Mahin M Rahman further said that the BCB had already formed a committee to address such complaints, following the High Court's landmark verdict delivered on May 14, 2009, concerning the prevention of sexual harassment in workplaces and educational institutions.

Explaining the BCB's position on the publication of the investigation report, he said the decision not to make it public had been taken in accordance with confidentiality policies and the directives of the court.
