“Trump Sparks Tension at G7 Summit: Warning on Iran, Proposes Inclusion of China and Russia”

At the ongoing G7 summit held in the peaceful Rocky Mountain city of [please insert city name, e.g., Quebec City, Vancouver, or another city as you prefer], U.S. President Donald Trump has created a tense atmosphere. Due to the escalating Iran-Israel tensions in the Middle East, Trump left the summit earlier than scheduled.

Before departing the venue late Monday night, Trump announced a new trade agreement with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. Under this agreement, tariffs on the United Kingdom’s automobile and aerospace exports to the United States will be reduced — a significant benefit for the British industrial sector.

The Middle East crisis was a top agenda item at the summit. Trump issued a stern warning, saying, “Tehran must stop its nuclear program immediately, or it will be too late.” He claimed that Iran was willing to negotiate but that Israel had already launched attacks due to the lack of an agreement.

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, the summit host, said, “We stand at a time of division. Unity is our greatest need right now.” (Please indicate where the quotation should end.)

World leaders held multiple bilateral meetings to seek a unified strategy. Particularly, leaders from Britain, France, Germany, and Italy took part in an informal one-hour discussion where they pledged to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear capability.

During a break in the summit, Trump and Starmer signed a tariff reduction agreement on British car and aerospace product imports. Although discussions on the steel sector remain incomplete, British manufacturers such as Rolls-Royce and others are expected to gain significant concessions.

Trump said, “This agreement will create jobs and deepen bilateral relations.” Starmer described it as “a manifestation of the strength of both countries.”

The most controversial remarks came from Trump himself, who declared, “The G7 has now become irrelevant. It is time to bring Russia and China back in.”

Referring to Russia’s exclusion after the 2014 annexation of Crimea as “a historic mistake,” he added, “If Russia had been part of my presidency, the war in Ukraine would not have happened.”

On China’s inclusion, Trump said, “I wouldn’t object; China could be included. It’s essential to have opportunities for talks at the leadership level.”

Trump’s series of statements and his sudden departure from the summit have raised fresh questions about the future of the G7, Western unity, and the U.S. stance on the Middle East crisis.

Analysts say that as the risk of war intensifies, the differences among major powers have also become more pronounced. How the U.S. role and leadership evolve amid this situation will be crucial in shaping the future trajectory of global politics.
