Several officers have been transferred in the Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) administration. A total of 11 officers have been reshuffled, including changes in the Officer-in-Charge (OC) positions of five police stations.
The transfer was implemented through an official order signed on Wednesday (15 April) afternoon by RMP Commissioner Dr. Md. Zillur Rahman.
According to the order, OC of Belpukur Police Station, Md. Arjun, has been assigned as Inspector in the Cyber Crime Unit. Shah Makhdum Police Station OC Faruk Hossain has been transferred as the new OC of Belpukur Police Station. In addition, OC of Damkura Police Station Azijul Bari Ibn Jalil has been transferred to the Police Training School as Inspector.
On the other hand, OC of Motihar Police Station Abu Kalam Azad has been made OC of Rajpara Police Station, and Rajpara Police Station OC Mohammad Golam Kabir has been appointed OC of Motihar Police Station.
In the same order, Inspector Kabir Hossain from the Detective Branch (DB) has been appointed as OC of Shah Makhdum Police Station. Inspector (Investigation) Ashraful Alam of Damkura Police Station has been posted as OC of the same station.
In addition, several changes have also been made in the Inspector (Investigation) posts of various police stations. Shamsul Alam of Belpukur Police Station has been transferred to Kornohar Police Station, Abdul Alim of Rajpara Police Station to Shah Makhdum Police Station, MM Abu Zafar of Shah Makhdum Police Station to Rajpara Police Station, and Abdul Aziz Mondal of Kornohar Police Station to Belpukur Police Station.
RMP spokesperson Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Gaziur Rahman said that this is part of a regular administrative process. These transfers have been made as required to make police activities more dynamic and effective.
