This announcement was made by Professor Ali Riaz at a press conference held on Friday (August 8) at the LD Hall of the National Parliament. He stated that during two rounds of discussions, significant proposals and reforms have achieved national consensus. In the first phase, out of 165 proposals, parties agreed on 62, some of which the government has already implemented. In the second phase, out of 20 constitutional issues, there was unanimous agreement on 11, while most parties supported the remaining nine, though some parties held dissenting views.

Ali Riaz mentioned that in the upcoming discussions, expert opinions will also be considered alongside those of political parties to reach an effective decision within a short time. Due to initial opposition, 25 issues were not discussed previously, but these may be reconsidered in the new talks.
