Following her roles in Netflix’s Last Stories 2 and her evolving career in Bollywood, Tamanna Bhatia has recently gained a fresh spotlight among audiences. The 35-year-old actress spoke at length about her career, age, and the changing landscape of Bollywood in a recent interview with Filmfare magazine.

Tamanna said, “Early in my acting career, I had a 10-year plan. I thought I would work initially and then get married after turning 30, because at that time, there weren’t many roles written for women beyond 30.” However, she noted that the industry’s perspective has since evolved. Tamanna revealed that after turning 27–28, she truly found herself, and around that time, roles began to be written that were deeper, more complex, and more engaging for women.

She added, “Now there’s a change in everyone’s mindset. I still don’t understand the fear around age! Age isn’t a disease. On the contrary, growing older is something wonderful!” Tamanna emphasized that with age comes maturity and experience, which is a significant asset for an actor.

In the interview, she further said, “Why do people fear age? Experience, maturity—they all come with growing older.” She also mentioned her upcoming projects, including O Romi, Van—Force of the Forest, and No Entry 2, among several others.

Tamanna Bhatia, who is popular in both South Indian and Hindi cinema, views this evolution in her career and her attraction to creative roles very positively. She believes that the industry is now writing richer roles for women, offering them new opportunities to express themselves.

Her statements highlight the development of female characters in the acting industry and reflect a shift in societal attitudes toward age.
