Amid reports that coalition partners NCP and Amar Bangladesh Party (AB Party) are negotiating seat-sharing with BNP or Jamaat, the State Reform Movement raised objections. Party president Hasnat Kaiyum said such discussions violate the coalition’s founding principles.

He emphasized that the coalition was established in December 2025 to pursue reform and democracy independently of BNP or Jamaat. Any unauthorized seat-sharing discussions are contrary to the coalition’s vision.
