Sarwar Tushar at July March: People Will No Longer Accept Sheikh Hasina

Sarwar Tushar, Joint Convener of the National Citizen Party (NCP), made strong remarks about former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina during the party’s ‘July March’ and roadside rally in Pirojpur. He also criticized the government over the referendum and implementation of the July Charter.

He made the remarks while speaking as a special guest at a roadside rally organized by the National Citizen Party (NCP) at the July Memorial premises in front of Pirojpur Central Shaheed Minar on Monday (July 20) afternoon.

In his speech, Sarwar Tushar claimed that Sheikh Hasina would not be able to return to Bangladesh. He made several critical political remarks targeting her and said that the people of the country would no longer accept her due to past events.

He said that it is a matter of sadness for a Muslim not to have the opportunity to be buried in his or her own country. However, he claimed that under the current political circumstances, there is no possibility of Sheikh Hasina returning to Bangladesh.

Criticizing the government’s position on the referendum, Sarwar Tushar said that the referendum was supported before the election but is now being called illegal, which he described as a politically contradictory position. According to him, if the referendum is declared illegal, the legitimacy of previous political decisions also comes into question.

He further said that the lack of visible progress in implementing the July Charter according to public expectations has negatively affected people’s trust in the government. He also urged the authorities to take necessary steps by giving importance to public demands.

Other speakers at the rally included NCP’s southern region chief organizer Hasnat Abdullah, Central Joint Convener Ali Hasan Junaid, and Central Committee member Dr. Shamim Hamidi.

The event was chaired by Pirojpur district NCP President Humayun Kabir and moderated by district member secretary Mainul Ahsan Munna.
