Saikat Arif Elected President, Farhana Manik Muna Becomes General Secretary of Bangladesh Students' Federation

The Bangladesh Students' Federation has announced its new central committee following the conclusion of its 14th National Conference, held over two days.

Saikat Arif has been elected as the organization's new President, while Farhana Manik Muna has been elected General Secretary.

The newly formed committee consists of 25 members, with one position currently left vacant.

The names of the newly elected leaders were announced during the closing session of the conference on Friday, attended by delegates from different regions of the country.

In the new committee, Fatema Rahman and Mohabbat Hossain have been elected Vice Presidents.

Jinnat Ara Sumu and Sakibul Islam Shafin will serve as Joint General Secretaries.

The positions of Organizing Secretary will be jointly held by Armanul Haque and Alamin Rahman.

Other office bearers include Nasim Khan as Treasurer, Tuhin Farazi as Office Secretary, Raidul Islam Sakib as Publicity and Publications Secretary, Palash Dey as Political Education Secretary, Sajib Hossain as Social Welfare Secretary, and Nadim Sina as School Affairs Secretary.

The newly elected Executive Committee members are Jannatul Fatema, Srijoy Saha, Moumita Noor, Azad Hossain, Imamul Haque, Didarul Islam, Sakibur Rony, Sohel Rana, Ariful Haque, and Moshiur Rahman Khan Richard.

During the conference, speakers emphasized the importance of protecting students' rights, ensuring a democratic academic environment, improving the quality of education, and expanding the organization's activities across the country.

They also called upon the newly elected leadership to work collectively in upholding the organization's ideals and achieving its long-term objectives.

Conference participants expressed confidence that under the leadership of President Saikat Arif and General Secretary Farhana Manik Muna, the Bangladesh Students' Federation will further strengthen its activities in support of student rights, education reform, and other contemporary national issues in the years ahead.
