Results of Dhaka University Business Studies Unit Admission Exam Ready, Will Be Published Soon

The results of the 2025-26 academic year undergraduate (honors) first-year admission exam for the 'Business Studies Unit' of Dhaka University have been prepared. The university authorities have stated that the results may be published tomorrow (Thursday) or Friday.

Dr. Mahmud Osman Imam, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies, stated that the university was closed on Wednesday due to a national mourning day, so the results could not be released that day. However, all preparations are complete, and the results are expected to be published within the next one or two days.

He added that although the official time frame for publishing the results is one month, the university planned to release the results within the current month. However, due to mourning for the death of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, and the one-day government holiday announced by executive order, the results could not be published on the scheduled date.

The admission exam for the Business Studies Unit was held on December 6 from 11 AM to 12:30 PM. The exam took place simultaneously in Dhaka University’s campus, the capital city, and four divisional cities across the country.

This year, 34,062 candidates applied for 1,050 seats in the Business Studies Unit, resulting in an average competition of 32 candidates per seat. Out of these seats, 930 are allocated for business studies students, 95 for science students, and 25 for humanities students.

University sources have indicated that detailed schedules for subsequent admission procedures will be published on the website after the results are announced.
