Staff Reporter | PNN:
The results of the 49th Special BCS (Education) written examination may be published this week. However, the method of publication will be decided by the Public Service Commission (PSC). A source at the commission told The Daily Campus on Saturday (October 11).

A total of 683 positions in the General Education cadre will be filled through the 49th BCS. Over 312,000 candidates applied for these positions, with more than 456 applicants per post.

A PSC official said, “Since the exam covered many subjects, the method of result publication has not yet been finalized. Officials will sit together to determine it. As the viva-voce exams are scheduled to begin on October 26, the results need to be published this week. We hope the results will be announced within this week.”

The education cadre exam consisted of 200 MCQ questions. Each correct answer carried 1 mark, while 0.5 marks were deducted for each wrong answer. The total time for the exam was two hours.
