Staff Report: PNN

After the resignation of interim government advisers Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan and Mahfuz Alam, the government has reassigned the responsibilities of the three ministries under their supervision. This reassignment was officially announced in the gazette published on Thursday (11 December).

According to the new distribution, Professor Asif Nazrul will now oversee the Ministry of Youth and Sports, previously managed by Asif Mahmud. Consequently, the responsibilities of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development, and Cooperatives have been separated.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, formerly under Mahfuz Alam, has been assigned to adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan.

Additionally, the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development, and Cooperatives has been reassigned to adviser Adilur Rahman, who had previously overseen a different ministry.

This reassignment is viewed as part of the government’s administrative continuity and efforts to ensure smooth operations before the upcoming elections.
