The final results were announced Friday morning at the Kazi Nazrul Islam Auditorium, where the elected candidates and their supporters celebrated with excitement. Following the announcement, a lively and jubilant atmosphere was observed among the candidates and their supporters.
Meanwhile, some concerns were raised regarding the election. Sheikh Nur Uddin Abir, the Chhatra Dal-supported VP candidate, complained about the voter list, claiming that his polling agents were unable to access it, raising questions about the transparency of the voting process. He brought this issue to the election commissioners and received assurances that the matter would be addressed promptly.
During voting at various university centers, students also reported problems with the quality of the ink, stating that it came off easily after voting, which could allow for potential vote tampering. However, the Election Commission has stated that security measures have been strengthened, and they plan to use new technology to ensure transparency in the voting process.
The total number of voters in the RAKSU election was 28,901, including 17,596 male students and 11,305 female students. The overall voter turnout was 69.83%, with six female halls reporting a turnout rate of 63.24%.
Furthermore, Chief Election Commissioner F. Nazrul Islam and other commissioners were vigilant in ensuring a fair election. They stated that no irregularities would be tolerated and that the entire election process was being closely monitored.
