Protest by Gopalganj University Chhatra Dal against the threat of rape to the female petitioner.

The Chhatra Dal (student wing of BNP) at Gopalganj Science and Technology University (GOBIPROBI) held a protest march against the threat of rape directed at a female petitioner supporting Farhad’s candidacy in the DUCSU elections.

On Tuesday (September 2) at 1:30 pm, the march started from the university’s hall courtyard under the leadership of Chhatra Dal President Durjoy Shuvo and General Secretary Aminul Islam Bidyut. The procession moved through various parts of the campus and concluded at the Gol Chottor. Leaders and activists from different levels of Chhatra Dal were present during the march.

After the protest march, Chhatra Dal General Secretary Aminul Islam Bidyut said, “The organization that talks about women’s rights is the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal. But we can see that after August 5, a secretive group has emerged, which has been collaborating with authoritarianism for the past 17 years. That is why they do not reveal their committee. Currently, they are harassing women through cybercrimes and secretly trying to achieve their objectives. I want to make it clear—Jamaat-Shibir cannot secretly engage in politics and gain advantages.”

Chhatra Dal President Durjoy Shuvo said, “Do not engage in secret politics; come forward openly. Even if someone speaks positively against you, you retaliate using fake IDs. This fake ID politics must stop. I practice student politics openly and have an identity. If you engage in politics, reveal your identity publicly. We all worked together in the July 24 movement. We will work together again to build the Bangladesh of tomorrow. But I have one request for you—step away from cyberbullying and online politics.”
