Plane Crash Tragedy: Condolences from Chief Adviser and Tarique Rahman

A wave of mourning has swept across the nation following the crash of a Bangladesh Air Force F-7 BGI training aircraft at the Milestone School and College campus in the Diabari area of Uttara, Dhaka. The tragic incident has claimed the lives of four individuals and injured at least 60 others, who have been admitted to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.

Bangladesh's Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus has expressed profound grief over the incident. In a condolence message issued by the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing, he stated, “The losses incurred due to this accident, including members of the air force as well as students, parents, teachers, and staff of Milestone School and College, are irreparable. This is a moment of deep sorrow for the nation.” He wished the injured a speedy recovery and instructed the concerned authorities to handle the situation with utmost seriousness. He also assured that the government will take necessary measures to investigate the cause of the crash.

Meanwhile, BNP’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman also expressed his condolences. In a statement posted on his verified Facebook page, he wrote, “We are deeply saddened by the heartbreaking incident of the plane crash at Milestone College. Institutions meant to support students’ learning, growth, and mental well-being should never become sites of such horrifying experiences.”

Calling on everyone to stand by the victims, Tarique Rahman said, “I offer my deepest prayers for the young lives who witnessed and were affected by this tragic event. I also urge all BNP leaders, activists, and professionals to stand beside the victims in this difficult time.”

He added, “As a united nation, we must overcome this crisis together.”
