Man Stabbed to Death by Miscreants in Gouripur, Police Investigating

Md. Abdur Barek Akand, also known as Mojnnu Munsi (45), was killed in a stabbing attack by unidentified criminals in Gouripur upazila of Mymensingh.

The incident took place on Sunday (July 5) around 10:30 PM in Boyra Bazar area of Bhangnamari Union while he was returning home.

He was a resident of Durbarchar village. Family sources claim he was attacked with sharp weapons targeting his chest and abdomen.

He was rushed toward Mymensingh Medical College Hospital but died on the way.

Family members alleged that the attackers later contacted relatives using his mobile phone after the murder.

Police visited the scene and began investigation.
