Three Killed in Gunfight Between Rival Groups in Panchhari, Khagrachhari

At least three people were killed in a gunfight between two rival groups in Panchhari upazila of Khagrachhari over establishing dominance.

The incident occurred on Monday (July 6) afternoon in Madhumongolpara of Chengi Union.

Officer-in-Charge Md. Ferdous Wahid confirmed the incident, saying the clash erupted due to local power struggles, resulting in gunfire.

Police said the identities of the deceased could not be confirmed immediately. Law enforcement teams were dispatched to the scene for recovery and to control the situation.

Tension remains high in the area, and security forces are on alert. Investigation is ongoing.
