Nurul Islam Saddam has been elected as the new central president of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir for the 2026 session. He was elected through a secret ballot during the council session held today at the Bangladesh–China Friendship Conference Centre in Agargaon, Dhaka.

Previously, Saddam served as the central secretary general and editor of the central office. He holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in economics from Khulna University and is currently pursuing a postgraduate diploma in entrepreneurial economics at a Dhaka University-affiliated program. His leadership is expected to strengthen students’ rights, ethics, and organizational activities.
