Farzana Mannan, Joint Secretary (Nursing Education) of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, said, “The nursing admission test is planned for January. The notice may be issued within two days.”
An official (requesting anonymity) stated that the organizing committee initially decided January 23 for the exam. Coordination with other exams or issues will be considered. Eligible candidates must have passed HSC/equivalent in 2023, 2024, or 2025, and SSC/equivalent in 2021, 2022, or 2023, with a maximum three-year gap between SSC and HSC.
Reserved seats: 10% for male candidates in BSc Nursing (government) and 20% in private institutions. Diploma in Midwifery will accept only female candidates.
Selection is based on SSC & HSC GPA and admission test marks (total 150). Candidates scoring 40+ are considered qualified. Placement in government institutions depends on merit and preference; private institutions follow merit-based approvals.
The test aims to provide highly skilled new candidates to Bangladesh’s nursing and midwifery sector.
