Panic spread after a hired BRTC bus carrying Cumilla University students suddenly experienced a tire explosion while in motion.
One student was injured and another female student fainted due to the loud noise. Both were later given first aid and recovered.
The incident occurred on Monday (July 6) near the Padua Bazar World Road flyover area in Cumilla.
According to the university transport pool, the bus was traveling from the campus to Kandirpar when one of its tires suddenly burst, causing panic among passengers.
One injured student is not from Cumilla University but a student of nearby CCN Science and Technology University.
Assistant Registrar of the transport section, Md. Mosarraf Hossain Bhuiyan, said extreme heat or small construction debris on the road may have caused the accident.
