NCP–Jamaat seat-sharing talks intensify amid internal disagreements

Ahead of the 13th national parliamentary elections, the NCP is reportedly negotiating seat-sharing with Jamaat. While some leaders support this, others strongly oppose it. Negotiations with BNP had previously failed, prompting renewed discussions with Jamaat.
Internal divisions have led to resignations within NCP, as some leaders oppose collaboration with Jamaat ideologically. Meanwhile, other party leaders argue that cooperation with a major party is necessary for electoral success.
