National University to Publish Second Merit List After Completion of First Merit List Admission

The admission process for the 2025–26 academic year of the National University’s undergraduate (first year) program is set to begin on Tuesday (May 5). After the admission process of students selected in the first merit list is completed, the second merit list will be published, said Dr. Md. Asheq Kabir Chowdhury, Dean of the School of Undergraduate Studies of the university.

He stated that the online application form filling process for admitted students will continue until May 17. Within this period, students must complete the application process and prepare the necessary documents. The second merit list will be initiated after the completion of the admission process. He also mentioned that the university plans to begin this process before the Eid holidays.

According to the National University’s published information, the pass rate in this year’s admission test was 80.36 percent. Based on the results, students who secured positions in the first merit list are initially getting the opportunity to participate in the admission process.

According to university instructions, admission-seeking students must log in to the admission website, go to the Applicant Login option under Honours Login, and complete the final admission form using their Application ID and PIN number. After that, they must print or download a PDF copy of the form.

Students selected in the first merit list must pay an admission registration fee of 1,130 taka at their respective colleges. Depending on the college, this fee will be collected through mobile banking or directly. The deadline for fee submission is from May 6 to May 18.

On the other hand, college authorities have been instructed to complete admission confirmation between May 6 and May 19. The National University has warned that failure to complete admission within the specified time may result in cancellation of the student’s nomination.
