The admission test for the ‘A’ Unit of Khulna University (KU) for the 2025–26 academic session for undergraduate and honors first-year students was completed peacefully. The test was held on Friday, December 19, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
The ‘A’ Unit exam, which covers the School of Science, Engineering, and Technology, was conducted simultaneously in four centers: Khulna, Dhaka, Rajshahi, and Chittagong, with a total of 38,961 candidates participating.
On the same day, from 11:40 a.m. to 12:40 p.m., a separate drawing test was held for students of the School of Architecture.
The ‘B’ Unit (School of Life Sciences) admission test is scheduled from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., with 28,968 candidates participating, also across the same four centers.
Sources at the university said that a total of 108,266 students are competing for 1,109 seats across four units over the two-day admission test, which averages about 97 candidates per seat. The Khulna University administration stated that all necessary preparations have been made to conduct the exams fairly, safely, and securely, with additional security measures and coordination with law enforcement and relevant authorities.
