National Citizen Party (NCP) leader Nahid Islam has demanded that the July Memorial Museum be opened to the public by August 5. He warned that otherwise people themselves would enter the museum.
He made the remarks after visiting mass graves of victims of the 2024 uprising at Rayerbazar in Dhaka.
He also criticized the slow progress of investigations and trials of July-related cases and demanded faster justice.
He called for bringing accused individuals, including Sheikh Hasina, back to the country for trial.
He also criticized sentencing in a case involving former minister Hasanul Haque Inu, saying the punishment was not proportional.
He urged visible implementation of reforms, referendum decisions, and July charter commitments.
