Jubo Dal Leader Beaten Amid Political Clash in Kotali Para, Chhatra Dal Leader Injured

In Kotali Para Upazila of Gopalganj, Jubo Dal leader Sohel Shikdar was reportedly beaten by a group including Swechchhasebak League leader Palash Shikdar and Jubo League leader Nazmul Khan due to political rivalry. Sohel Shikdar is currently receiving treatment at Kotali Para Upazila Health Center.

The incident occurred on Monday (September 22) evening in front of Sohel Shikdar’s residence in Gopalpur village. During the attack, local Chhatra Dal leader Imon Bakhtiar Babu tried to intervene and protect Sohel, but he was seriously injured. Both leaders are admitted to the Upazila Health Center for treatment.

Sohel Shikdar alleged that he was attacked for being associated with Jubo Dal. Attempts to contact Swechchhasebak League leader Palash Shikdar were unsuccessful. However, Jubo League leader Nazmul Khan denied any involvement in the incident.

Kotali Para Police Station Officer-in-Charge Khandakar Hafizur Rahman stated that no written complaint has been received yet. If a complaint is filed, an investigation will be conducted and appropriate action will follow.
