Jamaat Member’s Rukon Membership Cancelled in Dhunat Over Alleged Breach of Party Discipline

The membership of Rukon Mosharraf Hossain, a member of Jamaat-e-Islami in Nimgachhi Union of Dhunat upazila in Bogura, has been cancelled over allegations of violating party discipline and engaging in activities contrary to the organization’s policies and ideology.

The information was disclosed in a press release signed by Noor Mohammad Abu Taher, publicity secretary of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Bogura district unit, on Saturday night (August 1).

According to the statement, allegations against Mosharraf Hossain regarding organizational indiscipline and involvement in activities against the party’s principles were discussed at a meeting of the Bogura district working committee of Jamaat-e-Islami held on July 30.

Following recommendations from the meeting, the party’s Ameer decided to cancel his Rukon membership.

The statement further said that after the cancellation took effect, Mosharraf Hossain would no longer have any organizational relationship with Jamaat-e-Islami. The party also clarified that it would not take responsibility for his personal statements, activities, or any future actions.

The statement added that Jamaat-e-Islami remains committed to protecting its ideology, constitution, organizational discipline, and ethical standards. It said that organizational actions would continue to be taken against anyone involved in activities violating party principles and discipline.

Bogura Jamaat publicity secretary Noor Mohammad Abu Taher said Mosharraf Hossain is a member of Nimgachhi Union Parishad in Dhunat. According to the decision of Jamaat’s Ameer, his membership was cancelled due to allegations of involvement in activities against the organization’s rules and ethical standards.

Attempts were made several times to contact Mosharraf Hossain for his comments, but he did not answer the phone. As a result, his statement could not be obtained.
