All tickets for France’s UEFA Nations League match against Italy on October 2 were sold out in less than a day.
The match will be played at France’s iconic Stade de France, which has a capacity of nearly 80,000 spectators.
After 14 years in charge of the French national team, Didier Deschamps stepped down as head coach. Following his departure, former France captain and World Cup winner Zinedine Zidane was appointed as the new manager.
Zidane, who helped France win the World Cup as a player, also achieved remarkable success as a club coach. Now he faces a new challenge leading the national team.
French supporters hope Zidane can guide “Les Bleus” back to the top of world and European football.
France’s Nations League campaign under Zidane will begin on September 25 away against Turkey, followed by a match against Belgium three days later.
However, fans will see Zidane manage France for the first time at Stade de France on October 2 against Italy.
The return match against Belgium will be played in Paris on October 5, and almost all tickets for that match have also been sold.
Football analysts believe the huge ticket demand reflects the excitement and expectations surrounding Zidane’s new journey with the national team.
