HSC Exam Results 2025 Published: 69,097 Students Achieve GPA-5

The results of the 2025 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations have been published. The results were officially released at 10 a.m. on Thursday (October 16) under 11 education boards across the country. This year, a total of 69,097 students achieved a GPA-5, which is slightly lower than last year.

According to the results, the Dhaka Education Board produced the highest number of GPA-5 achievers, with 26,063 students obtaining the top grade. Other boards recorded the following numbers:

  1. Rajshahi Board: 10,137

  2. Cumilla Board: 2,707

  3. Jashore Board: 5,995

  4. Chattogram Board: 6,097

  5. Barishal Board: 1,674

  6. Sylhet Board: 1,602

  7. Dinajpur Board: 6,260

  8. Mymensingh Board: 2,684

  9. Madrasa Board: 4,268

  10. Technical Board: 1,610

A total of 1,251,111 students participated in this year’s HSC and equivalent exams — 618,015 male and 633,096 female candidates. The exams were conducted at 2,797 centers under all 11 boards.

However, the overall results were worse compared to last year. In 2024, the pass rate was 77.78%, while this year it dropped to 58.83%. The lowest pass rate was recorded under the Jashore Board (50.20%), and the highest under the Barishal Board (62.57%).

According to the Ministry of Education, students can easily access their results from the respective education board websites. Additionally, results can be obtained via SMS by typing:
HSC First three letters of Board name Roll number 2025,
and sending it to 16222.

This year, 345 educational institutions achieved 100% pass rates, while 202 institutions saw no students pass. Education board officials expressed optimism that results will improve in the coming years.
