Hit Song ‘Aaj Ki Raat’ from Stree 2 Reaches One Billion Views

The popular song “Aaj Ki Raat” from the much-discussed film Stree 2, starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, has crossed the milestone of one billion views on YouTube. Actress Tamanna Bhatia, whose energetic dance added extra charm to the song, expressed her gratitude to fans for this achievement.

To celebrate, Tamanna shared some unpublished videos from the song shoot on her Instagram. In one clip, she is seen watching her performance on a monitor with choreographer Vijay Ganguly and the team, humorously rejecting praise for her shots. In another clip, Tamanna is seen dancing alongside co-stars Pankaj Tripathi, Rajkummar Rao, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana.

Tamanna wrote in the post, “From the first view to one billion views—thank you so much for this love.”

The song features vocals by Madhubanti Bagchi and Divya Kumar, lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya, and music by the popular duo Sachin-Jigar. The song became immensely popular upon release, with Tamanna’s dance playing a major role.

Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree 2 also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana. Released in 2024, the film grossed nearly 900 crore INR, becoming one of the year’s top-grossing movies.

Tamanna has shared amusing anecdotes, including how mothers said their children refused to eat unless the song played. She noted, “Children may not understand the lyrics, but the tune brings them joy.”

Tamanna is currently busy preparing for the mythological thriller film VVAN: Force of the Forest, directed by Deepak Mishra and Arunav Kumar, opposite Siddharth Malhotra. The film is set to release on 15 May.
