EC allows caravan campaign for upcoming elections

The Election Commission (EC) has approved the use of caravans or mobile vehicles for campaign activities for the upcoming February 12 general elections and referendum. However, such campaigns must not disrupt traffic or cause public inconvenience.

The decision, signed by Senior Assistant Secretary Shahidul Islam, was sent to all returning officers. Campaigns using digital technology or biodegradable materials are permitted. Authorities have been instructed to ensure that public movement is not disrupted, avoiding traffic congestion or inconvenience. The EC hopes this initiative will make the election atmosphere more vibrant.
