Dhaka-7 Jamaat Candidate Enayat Ullah: Income, Expenditure, and Assets Details

Md. Enayat Ullah, a businessman from Old Dhaka, has received nomination as the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate for Dhaka-7 constituency. According to his affidavit, his annual income is around 70 million Taka, and his total assets—movable and immovable—exceed 1.16 billion Taka. However, he also has approximately 830 million Taka in debts.

He will contest the election with Jamaat’s electoral symbol in the Dhaka-7 constituency, which includes Lalbagh, Chawk Bazar, Banshal, partial Kamrangirchar, and partial Kotwali police station areas.

In the affidavit, he mentioned his profession as “self-educated.” His total annual income is 68,635,080 Taka, including over 60 million Taka from business. Additional income comes from rent, shares, savings certificates, and other sources.

His movable assets are valued at over 922,300,000 Taka, including cash, bank deposits, shares, bonds, savings certificates, electronic items, and furniture. He also possesses three licensed firearms: a shotgun, a revolver, and a rifle.

His immovable assets total 237,200,000 Taka, which include agricultural land, buildings, and non-agricultural land. Assets in the names of his wives and dependents total nearly 10 million Taka, with combined annual income just over 1 million Taka.

The affidavit also states his total debts amount to 828,751,777 Taka.

His latest income tax return shows an income of 52.3 million Taka, with approximately 18.6 million Taka paid in tax. The return also lists assets over 1.08 billion Taka in his name and in the names of his wife and children.
