Beijing, June 24, 2025 (PNN): A high-level delegation from the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) met with Li Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC), in a bilateral meeting held in Beijing. During the meeting, the Chinese side expressed a keen interest in signing a political memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the BNP.
Welcoming BNP’s clear stance in support of the One China Policy, Minister Li stated that such a memorandum could play a significant role in enhancing regional peace, stability, and bilateral political cooperation.
On behalf of BNP, the delegation congratulated Chinese President Xi Jinping on the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), describing it as a revolutionary and visionary global development strategy. The BNP also expressed hopes for greater Chinese involvement in infrastructure and employment-generating projects in Bangladesh.
Following the meeting, the BNP delegation attended a luncheon hosted by CPC Vice-Minister Ms. Sun Haiyan, where further discussions were held in a cordial atmosphere.
