Sera Prokashoni suspends all activities temporarily

One of the country’s most popular publishing houses, Sera Prokashoni, has announced the temporary suspension of all its activities. The decision was announced in a notice on Wednesday (May 14).

The notice, signed by one of the company’s partners, Kazi Shahnur Hossain, states that various allegations of internal irregularities and corruption have recently come to their attention. In order to conduct an independent and fair audit, it has been decided to suspend all operations temporarily.

It is further stated that all activities of Sera Prokashoni will remain suspended until the audit is completed.

However, the notice does not specify who is involved in the allegations or what kind of irregularities have been identified.

Attempts were made multiple times to contact another partner, Kazi Shahnur Hossain, for comment, but his mobile phone was found switched off.
