World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka has reached the Brisbane International Tennis final again, defeating Karolina Muchova 6–3, 6–4. This marks the third consecutive year she has reached the Brisbane final.
Sabalenka aims to win the Australian Open this month for the third time in four years. At the Queensland Tennis Centre, Muchova showed strong performance, but Sabalenka’s superior skills prevailed. Although three match points were missed, Sabalenka secured victory as Muchova’s final shot went long.
In the final, Sabalenka will face world No. 26 Marta Kostyuk, who defeated fourth seed Jessica Pegula 6–0, 6–3. Sabalenka has not lost a set against Kostyuk in their four prior meetings.
In the men’s division, Brandon Nakashima will face top seed Daniil Medvedev in the Brisbane final. Nakashima defeated Alexander Kovacevic 7–6 (7–4), 6–4 in the semifinals, while 2021 US Open champion Medvedev beat Alex Michelsen 6–4, 6–2. The Australian Open
