After defeating Afghanistan by 39 runs, Haris Rauf calls his team the biggest favorite

Following Pakistan’s 39-run victory over Afghanistan in the first match of the tri-nation series, Pakistani bowler Haris Rauf expressed his confidence in his team. Speaking at a press conference after the match at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Rauf said, “I never consider any team more of a favorite than us. Our team is always the biggest favorite.”

Chasing a target of 183 runs, Afghanistan was bowled out for just 143. Rauf played a key role in Pakistan’s win with the ball, taking 4 wickets for only 31 runs and guiding the team to victory.

Rauf added that it is wrong to see the tri-nation series as merely a preparatory series. “In my view, no international match can be considered just preparation. Every match carries pressure and cannot be taken lightly. Our aim is to play according to the team’s plan.”
