Admission Tests Held for Dhaka University’s Arts, Law, and Social Sciences Units

Dhaka University’s (DU) undergraduate admission tests for the Arts, Law, and Social Sciences units for the 2025–26 academic session have been completed. The tests were held simultaneously on Saturday (December 13) from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM.

From early morning, crowds of students could be seen arriving at various centers in the capital and divisional cities across the country. Many parents were present to assist their children at the centers.

During the examination, DU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Niyaz Ahmad Khan visited the Social Sciences faculty examination center to review overall arrangements and environment.

According to university sources, 107,701 students applied for 2,934 seats across the Arts, Law, and Social Sciences units this year, resulting in an average of approximately 37 candidates competing for each seat.

Apart from the Dhaka University campus, the admission tests were conducted in public universities across seven divisional cities: Rajshahi University, Chittagong University, Barishal University, Khulna University, Shahjalal University of Science & Technology, Bangladesh Agricultural University (Mymensingh), and Begum Rokeya University.
