After being critically ill for an extended period, actor Tinu Karim’s health has shown slight improvement. After 23 consecutive days on life support, he was moved to the ICU on December 26. According to the latest medical decisions, he will be transferred from the ICU to a regular cabin on Tuesday.
Tinu Karim’s wife, Humaira Naoshin, stated that his health has been gradually improving over the past few days. His life support was removed four days ago, and he is currently under intensive medical observation. She requested prayers from everyone for his speedy recovery.
Due to prolonged and complex medical treatment in a private hospital, Tinu Karim’s family has faced financial difficulties. They have received 100,000 BDT from the actors’ association ‘Actors Equity’ and 500,000 BDT from the Ministry of Cultural Affairs. However, the medical expenses are still not fully covered, and the family has stated that additional funds are required to continue treatment.
Tinu Karim suddenly fell ill while staying at his family home in Barisal on November 8. His oxygen levels dropped dangerously on November 24, and he was brought to Dhaka and admitted to a private hospital ICU. After some improvement, he was moved to a cabin, but a subsequent drop in blood pressure and sugar levels caused him to lose consciousness again. On December 3, he was placed back on life support.
Active in the acting industry for over two decades, Tinu Karim began his career in 2001 through the television drama ‘Sakkhor.’ He later debuted on the big screen in the 2010 film ‘Opekkha’ and became known for numerous popular dramas and advertisements including ‘Raat Jaga Phool’ and ‘Alta Banu.’
News of his health improvement has brought relief among colleagues and fans, who are hopeful he will soon return to normal life.
