A fire broke out at the Super Jute Mill in Phultala, Khulna

On Sunday (August 10) around 9:30 PM, a fire started in one of the mill’s warehouses. Upon receiving the news, six units from various fire service stations arrived at the scene and brought the fire under control after nearly three hours, around 11:30 PM.

Md. Masud Sardar, Assistant Director of Khulna Fire Service, stated that some parts of the warehouse were damaged due to the fire. However, no casualties were reported. The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are yet to be determined.

Locals said that panic spread in the surrounding areas after the fire broke out. Thanks to the quick response of the fire service, major damage was avoided.
