Two Killed in Sadullapur While Preparing for Robbery

In Sadullapur Upazila of Gaibandha, two people were reportedly killed in a mob beating while allegedly preparing for a robbery. The incident occurred early Friday morning (20 February) in Khorddamujahidpur village of Khordkomarpur Union.

Sadullapur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Alim confirmed the matter. He stated that the identities of the two deceased are still unknown. Their bodies have been recovered and preparations are underway to send them to the district hospital morgue for postmortem examination.

According to locals, a few suspicious individuals gathered by the roadside in the early hours. Observing their suspicious behavior, nearby villagers became alert. Eventually, the villagers caught two individuals. They were severely beaten by the angry crowd, and reportedly died before they could be taken to the hospital.

Police have inspected the scene and legal action is in process. An investigation has been initiated to uncover the cause behind the incident. The event has caused concern among the local population, and police patrols have been increased to maintain law and order.
