In Bhola, early morning silence was broken when members of a prohibited student organization allegedly held a sudden rally. A video of the event circulated widely on social media, sparking discussion.
The rally took place at Bangla School Mor in the city early on Saturday (April 4). Locals claimed that participants briefly gathered in front of the fire-damaged office of the district Awami League before moving out for the rally.
In the social media video, participants can be heard chanting slogans such as “Joy Bangla, Joy Bangabandhu,” “Respect for Sheikh Mujibur Rahman,” along with other political slogans related to a former Prime Minister.
Eyewitnesses said the rally was brief and ended suddenly, creating a mix of fear and curiosity in the area.
Muhammad Monirul Islam, officer-in-charge of Bhola Sadar Model Police Station, stated that the matter is under investigation and that those involved will be identified and legal action taken. Law enforcement is monitoring the area closely.
