Teenager Nayon Arrested in Rajshahi with Foreign Pistols and Ammunition

In Bagha Upazila of Rajshahi, police arrested a 16-year-old boy, Nayon Hossain, along with two foreign pistols, four magazines, and eight rounds of ammunition. He was detained on Monday (September 1) around 11:30 a.m. on the paved road in the Chokchatai area of the upazila.

Police said Nayon was identified during a checkpoint search at Chokchatai on the Rajshahi-Ishwardi highway. He was carrying a bag of frozen fish heading towards Charghat. A search of the bag revealed two foreign pistols, four magazines, and eight rounds of ammunition. Nayon attempted to flee but was later apprehended.

OC of Bagha Police Station, A.F.M. Asaduzzaman, stated that Nayon has been brought to the police station. After initial questioning, he will be sent to court on Tuesday. Police are investigating the source of the weapons and legal action will be taken.
