Student caught using ChatGPT in Jahangirnagar University B Unit admission test

A female candidate was caught using a mobile AI app during the B Unit admission test at Jahangirnagar University on Monday (22 December) at 11:00 AM. She was detained in Room 2 of Zahid Raihan Auditorium during the second shift by exam invigilators.

The student, Sadia Amir Mahi from Chokoria, Cox’s Bazar, used her smartphone to capture exam questions and input them into an AI chat app to obtain answers. She admitted to deliberate malpractice and accepted any disciplinary action.

The university has recommended canceling her test and barring her from future admission exams at the university. Another student was detained under similar circumstances the previous day (21 December).
