In September, overseas Bangladeshis sent $2.68588 billion in remittances to the country, which is approximately $165 million higher than the previous month. This information comes from the latest report of Bangladesh Bank on Sunday (October 5).
According to the report, $466.81 million came through state-owned banks, $258.21 million through specialized banks, $1.95461 billion via private banks, and $6.24 million from foreign banks.
Previously, $2.42189 billion was received in August, and $2.4780 billion in July.
Notably, in the 2024–25 fiscal year, overseas Bangladeshis sent $30.32 billion (or BDT 3,032.8 billion) in remittances, marking the highest remittance inflow in a single fiscal year in the country’s history.
