The price of gold in Bangladesh has decreased again.

The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has announced a reduction of Tk 3,266 per bhori after reviewing international and local market conditions.

According to the new rate, the price of 22-carat gold is now set at Tk 225,290 per bhori.

The new pricing became effective from 12:15 PM on Monday (July 6), according to a BAJUS press release.

The association said the reduction is due to a fall in local raw gold prices and overall market conditions.

Under the new rates, 21-carat gold is priced at Tk 215,142 per bhori, 18-carat at Tk 184,757, and traditional gold at Tk 150,932.

Previously, on July 3, BAJUS had increased gold prices by Tk 4,374 per bhori. Within just a few days, prices have now been significantly reduced again.

According to BAJUS data, gold prices have been adjusted 87 times so far in 2026, including 43 increases, 43 decreases, and one VAT adjustment.

Experts say fluctuations in global gold prices and local raw gold costs are driving frequent changes in the domestic market.
